  MSC manufactures and distributes a unique micro-sectioning system consisting of:

  •  spindle routing machine with optical control system
     

  •  precision saw with cross-hair video system
     

  •  Z axis-controlled automatic grinding- and polishing machine

    Advantages of the MSC system
     

  • Extreme accuracy, i.e. also suitable for laser drilled vias !

  • Cross sections can be created quickly in a standardized form and
    by semi-skilled staff

  • No pins required

  • Significant reduction in materials consumption
    (abrasive paper, resin, etc.)

  Operating sequence:

  • Gentle routing of test item (up to 10mm FR4 thickness)

  • Pre-cutting of cross section plane with precision saw

  • Injection of test item into mould (no additional control elements such as pins, clamps or similar are required)

  • Fill with casting resin

  • Cut off and polish test specimen - up to the hole (fully automatic procedure)
